Ingredients (nutrition)
- 10 oz chopped frozen broccoli
- 3 cups rice
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 16 oz cube American cheese
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 finely chopped large onion
- 1 bunch finely chopped celery sticks
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Preparation (instructions)
- Cook broccoli and rice according to package directions.
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- Combine water, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup and cheese in a saucepan over low heat.
- Stir regularly to avoid burning the cheese.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and saute onion and celery.
- Mix together broccoli, rice, cheese mixture, celery and onion in a large bowl.
- Season well with salt and pepper.
- Transfer mixture into an oven proof dish.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes until lightly brown.
- Serve immediately.
