Chicken liver pate

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 oz butter
  • 1 lb chicken livers
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons brandy
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 hard boiled eggs

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Melt butter in a large frying pan. Fry the liver over a medium heat.
  2. Pour in brandy and stir fry for a few minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and blend livers, cooking juices from the pan, onion and eggs in a blender or food processor until a smooth paste is formed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a serving dish and cover with foil.
  5. Chill overnight in a refrigerator.
  6. Prior serving, take out from the refrigerator and set aside until it reaches room temperature.
