Simple and elegant Crab pate

Old Fashion Pate

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 10 oz Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons powdered gelatine
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 12 oz cooked crabmeat
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 4 oz mayonnaise
  • 4 oz finely chopped celery
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a saucepan, heat soup over low heat.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve gelatine in a cold water.
  3. Add gelatine to soup and stir thoroughly.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a serving dish and cover with foil.
  6. Chill overnight in a refrigerator.
  7. Prior serving, take out from the refrigerator and set aside until it reaches room temperature.
