DIY simple Toasted tomato bread

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 7 thickly sliced tomatoes
  • 5 slices white or brown bread
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Add some olive oil on a frying pan and place on a high heat.
  2. Fry tomato slices for 2 minutes, until slightly blacken and soft.
  3. Lightly toast breads using a grill.
  4. Place the tomatoes on the toast.
  5. Drizzle each bread with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  6. Top up with grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Season well with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve immediately.
