Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 cup tomato ketchup
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 drops Tabasco sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 lb beef short ribs
Preparation (instructions)
- Preheat oven temperature to 400 degree F.
- In a saucepan, mix well tomato ketchup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, 1/4 teaspoon salt, sugar, vinegar and 1/4 cup water and simmer for 12 minutes.
- Rub remaining salt on ribs and place in a baking pan.
- Brush ribs with 1/2 of the prepared sauce.
- Place the ribs in preheated oven and bake for 38 minutes.
- Remove from oven, brush with remaining sauce and add remaining water.
- Return to oven and bake for a further 55 minutes.
- Serve hot.
