Barbecue chicken recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 lb boneless and skinless chicken breast
  • 2 peeled sweet potatoes, cut into bite size pieces
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a bowl, combine together paprika, chili powder, cinnamon, cumin, garlic powder, mustard and sugar.
  2. Rub the prepared seasoning on the chicken breast, cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes before grilling.
  3. Meanwhile, add sweet potatoes with salted water enough to cover the potatoes in a saucepan under medium heat and gently boil for 4 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, spray potatoes with cooking spray and salt them.
  5. Place chicken and potatoes on barbeque grill and cook until done.
