Barbecue jerky recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb frozen top round steak, cut into slices

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a large glass bowl, mix well catsup, wine vinegar, sugar, dry mustard, onion powder, salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper.
  2. Add in meat and coat thoroughly.
  3. Cover with cling film and chill in refrigerator for at least 8 hours.
  4. Dry and cure.
