Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 cup apple juice
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 1/2 minced garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons grated peeled fresh gingerroot
- 1 tablespoons dry mustard
- 2 dash Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- 8 pork chops
- 12 oz jar apple jelly
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon grated nutmeg
Preparation (instructions)
- To make the marinade, combine apple juice, 1/2 cup soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger root, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and rum in a bowl.
- In a shallow dish, place pork chops in layer and pour in marinade.
- Cover with cling film and chill in refrigerator overnight.
- To make the sauce, drain marinate into saucepan, stir in apple jelly, remaining soy sauce and bring to boil until sauce reduced to 1 1/2 cups.
- Stir in lemon juice and nutmeg.
- Grill pork chops using a barbecue grill until cooked through and serve with prepared sauce.
