Ingredients (nutrition)
- 3 cans Bartlett pear, cut into halves and reserve juice
- 1 cup chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon onion flakes
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 lb spareribs
Preparation (instructions)
- In a saucepan, mix reserved pear juice, chili sauce, vinegar, onion, salt and pepper.
- Bring to boil and pour in pears.
- Remove from heat and set aside for 4 hours.
- Drain sauce from pears. Set aside.
- Arrange spare ribs in a shallow oven safe pan.
- Pour 1/2 of the sauce over ribs and bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 2 hours.
- Baste frequently with remaining sauce.
- 18 minutes before cooking time, add in pears and bake.
- Serve hot.
