Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 onion, cut into wedges
- 3 peeled cloves garlic
- 1 boneless beef chuck shoulder pot roast, cut into 5 pieces
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 18 oz hickory flavored barbecue sauce
- 10 onion rolls
Preparation (instructions)
- Place onion and garlic on a slow cooker.
- Place beef on top.
- Add water, salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on high for 6 hours.
- Remove beef and allow to cool.
- Reserve cooking liquid.
- Shred beef with forks.
- Place shredded beef in a microwave safe dish.
- Add barbecue sauce and 1/2 cup cooking liquid.
- Cover and cook on high for 8 minutes.
- Serve in onion rolls.
