Beef fried rice recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 3 cups cooked white rice or brown rice
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped peanuts

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, garlic and black pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Add beef and coat evenly. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a non stick skillet under medium heat.
  4. Add beef and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove beef and set aside.
  6. Add bell pepper, onions and peas in the same skillet.
  7. Stir fry for 1 minute.
  8. Add egg and cook until scrambled.
  9. Return beef and stir in rice with remaining soy sauce.
  10. Cook for 2 minutes.
  11. Serve hot and garnish with chopped peanuts.
