Ingredients (nutrition)
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 minced cloves garlic
- 3 cups grape tomatoes, cut into halves
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced basil
- 2 cups uncooked gemelli pasta
- 1 teaspoon coarse grind black pepper
- 1 boneless beef top sirloin steak, cut into 3/4 inch thick
- 1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
Preparation (instructions)
- Heat up oil under medium heat in a large saucepan.
- Add onion and garlic.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper.
- Cook until tomatoes are soft and tender.
- Add basil and give a quick stir.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions
- Stir in tomato mixture and remaining salt and pepper.
- Keep in a warm place and set aside.
- Press coarse grind pepper onto beef steak and place on grill.
- Grill for 15 minutes, uncovered.
- Carve steak into thin slices.
- Sprinkle goat cheese over pasta and serve with grilled steak.
