Lamb with mushroom sauce recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

Mushroom sauce

  • 4 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Chinese rice wine
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili sauce
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 12 oz lean boneless lamb fillets, cut into strips
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 sliced leek
  • 7 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Preparation (instructions)

  1. To make the sauce, add soy sauce, rice wine, water, cornflour and chili sauce in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Heat wok with oil over high heat.
  3. When oil is hot, add lamb, garlic and leek.
  4. Stir fry for 3 minutes.
  5. Add mushrooms and stir fry for 1 1/2 minutes.
  6. Add in sauce and cook for 3 minutes until lamb is tender.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil on top.
  8. Serve hot.
