Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon style mustard
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 beef flank steak
- 1 loaf whole wheat French bread
- 1 cup baby salad greens
- tomato sauce to taste
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Preparation (instructions)
- Add vinegar, mustard and garlic in a bowl and mix well.
- Add beef in marinade and cover with cling film.
- Refrigerate for 24 hours.
- Cut bread into 6 sections and split each piece to form sandwich rolls.
- Remove steak from refrigerator and place steak on grill.
- Grill for 20 minutes, uncovered.
- Meanwhile, lightly toast bread on grill.
- Carve steak into thin slices.
- Season well with salt and pepper.
- Scoop beef over bottom of each roll.
- Top beef with salad green and tomato sauce.
- Close sandwiches and serve immediately.
