For Meatloaf
- 1 1/2 oz butter
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 chopped large onion
- 1 lb minced beef
- 2 oz soaked bulgur wheat
- 1 oz Parmesan cheese
- 1 sliced celery stick
- 2 tablespoons horseradish sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato puree
- 2 1/2 tablespoons instant oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon chopped thyme leaves
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
For Relish
- 2 1/2 tablespoons horseradish sauce
- 5 fl oz sour cream
Preparation (instructions)
- Grease bottom of loaf tin.
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Saute garlic, onion and minced beef until the meat is brown.
- Transfer beef mixture to a large bowl and add remaining ingredients.
- Mix well transfer into greased loaf tin. Cover with foil.
- Place loaf tin in a roasting tin and add 1 inch of water.
- Gently place in oven and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
- To make relish, combine horseradish sauce and sour cream in a bowl.
- Take out meatloaf and garnish with chopped thyme leaves.
- Serve with relish.
