Mushroom beef burgers recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 onion
  • 5 1/2 oz small cup mushrooms
  • 2 1/2 oz fresh wholemeal breadcrumbs
  • 1 lb lean minced beef
  • 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • 2 teaspoons tomato puree
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • flour for shaping

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Place onion and mushrooms in a food processor or electronic blender.
  2. Process until finely chopped.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, beef, herbs, tomato puree, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Blend until mixture binds together.
  5. Divide mixture equally into 10 pieces.
  6. Press into burger shapes using lightly floured hands.
  7. Cook burgers in a frying pan or hot grill for 15 minutes until evenly cooked.
  8. Serve hot immediately.
