Pork dumplings recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 lb pounded ground pork
  • 5 minced garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced ginger root
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 5 cups finely shredded Chinese cabbage (Pak Choi)
  • 80 dumpling wrappers (wonton wrappers)

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Mix well pork, garlic, onion, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg and cabbage in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Place 1 teaspoon pork mixture onto 1 dumpling skin (wonton skin).
  3. Moisten edges with water and fold edges over to form a triangle shape.
  4. Roll edges to seal in dumpling filling.
  5. Steam dumplings in a steamer for about 20 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately.
