Tangy stir fry lamb recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 lb minced lamb
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 sliced red onion
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • grated zest and juice of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 orange, cut into wedges
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Heat wok and add lamb.
  2. Stir fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic, onion, cumin seeds and coriander.
  4. Stir fry for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add orange zest and juice and soy sauce.
  6. Reduce heat, cover and leave to simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Add orange wedges and give a quick stir.
  8. Season well with salt and pepper and heat for another 2 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with aromatic rice.
