This soup is one of my grandmother’s all time favorite, especially during the winter season. You can use ham instead of bacon, depends on your own preference. The cool-weather diner soup taste better with garlic, buttermilk biscuits or Parmesan toast!

Let’s try out my grandma’s famous’ bacon & pea split soup.

Almond soup with bread and roasted garlic

Almond Soup is traditionally served as a first course in Christmas dinner.  Though, in Castile, Spain, this dish is usually served as dessert as it is a creamy concoction midway between sweet and savory. Saffron, a popular plant in La Mancha, Spain is generally used as additional flavoring of the soup.
