Honey glazed goose recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 3 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon chopped thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chopped coriander
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon grated root ginger
  • 1 teaspoon five spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 12 lb goose

Preparation (instructions)

  1. To make the marinade, mix all ingredients except goose in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add goose and chill for at least 24 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 425 degree F.
  4. Remove goose from the marinade and pat dry with kitchen paper towel.
  5. Transfer marinated goose in a roasting tin and cover with foil.
  6. Roast for about 22 minutes.
  7. Reduce oven temperature to 400 degree F.
  8. Continue to roast until golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables.
