Fresh Eggnog cocktail

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 6 large eggs, whites and yolks separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 pint sweet cream
  • 1 cup rum
  • 1 cup cognac
  • grated nutmeg to garnish

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Chill the egg whites in a refrigerator.
  2. Whisk egg yolks, sugar, milk, sweet cream, rum and cognac in a mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy. Allow to chill in the refrigerator overnight.
  3. Before serving, transfer the rum mixture into a punch bowl.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the rum mixture.
  5. Garnish with grated nutmeg and serve into individual Collins glass.
