Authentic English Christmas punch cocktail

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 large bottle dry red wine
  • 3 cups tea
  • 1 freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 lb sugar
  • 1 large bottle dark rum

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a sauce pan, add in wine, tea, orange juice and lemon juice. Heat it up and do not allow to bowl.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a punch bowl.
  3. Scoop sugar and rum into a large ladle.
  4. Ignite the sugar-rum mixture and pour in the punch bowl while still aflame.
  5. Stir well until the flame extinguish.
  6. Stir in remaining sugar and rum into the punch.
  7. Serve the punch into individual white wine glass.
