Cinnamon & nutmeg ice cream recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 oz caster sugar
  • 5 fl oz double cream
  • 9 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 14 fl oz fresh custard

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a saucepan, combine nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar and cream.
  2. Bring to boil and set aside to cool.
  3. In a bowl, beat cheese until smooth and stir in custard and spice mixture.
  4. Pour into a freezer container and freeze for 3 hours.
  5. Remove from freezer, beat until smooth and freeze for another 3 hours prior serving.
