Citrus jelly recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 3 oranges
  • grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • grated zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 3 oz caster sugar
  • 10 ft oz water
  • 1 tablespoon powdered gelatin

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Grate zest and remove segments of 1 orange and squeeze juice of 2 oranges.
  2. Place orange segments at the bottom of a 2 pt mould.
  3. In a saucepan under low heat, add orange zest, lemon zest, lime zest, sugar and water.
  4. Stir well until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
  5. Add orange juice, lemon juice and lime juice in the pan.
  6. Strain liquid and add gelatin.
  7. Stir until gelatin dissolves.
  8. Pour mixture in the mould and chill in refrigerator for about 6-8 hours prior serving.
