Frozen egg nog recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons dark rum
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 10 fl oz double cream

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Mix egg yolks, rum and brandy in a bowl over a pan of simmering water.
  2. Whisk until egg mixture thickens, remove from heat and continue to whisk.
  3. Allow to cool slightly and transfer into a freezer container.
  4. Meanwhile, in a bowl, whip cream until form soft peaks and fold into egg mixture.
  5. Freeze for 5 hours prior serving.
