Kiwifruit sorbet recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 4 kiwifruits, cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a saucepan under medium heat, add water, sugar and corn syrup.
  2. Cook until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Puree kiwifruits and lime juice in a blender or food processor.
  5. Add kiwi puree into sugar mixture and stir in lime zest.
  6. Transfer mixture into a freezer container and freeze for 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Beat with an electric hand held mixer or rotary whisk until light and fluffy.
  8. Return to freezer for 1 3/4 hours.
  9. Spoon into individual dessert glasses and serve.
