Lime sherbet recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup lime juice
  • dash of green food coloring
  • 1 egg white

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a saucepan, add water and sugar.
  2. Bring to boil for 4-5 minutes until sugar caramelized.
  3. Allow to cool and add lime juice and green food coloring.
  4. Freeze mixture for 2 hours.
  5. Meanwhile, beat egg white until form soft peaks and mix together with the frozen sherbet.
  6. Continue to freeze for 2 hours, remove from freezer, whip again and return to freezer until needed.
