Lychee sherbet recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1/4 oz plain gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 cup lychee juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Combine gelatin and water in a bowl and allow to set for 6 minutes.
  2. Scald 1/3 cup of milk in a saucepan.
  3. Remove from heat and add in gelatin mixture until dissolves completely.
  4. Stir in sugar, remaining milk, half and half, lychee and lemon juice. Mix well.
  5. Transfer mixture into an ice cream machine or ice cream maker.
  6. Process according to manufacturer's user guidelines.
