Mango & green tea sorbet recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup green tea leaves
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 mangoes, cut into cubes
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a saucepan, add water and green tea leaves.
  2. Bring to boil, remove from heat and set aside for 6 minutes.
  3. Drain and discard solid.
  4. Return tea to saucepan and stir in sugar.
  5. Bring to boil until sugar dissolves.
  6. Remove from heat and set aside.
  7. Process mango and lemon juice in a blender or food processor until smooth and creamy.
  8. Add in tea mixture and mix well.
  9. Transfer into a freezer container and freeze for 4 hours.
  10. Remove from freezer and pulse until smooth.
  11. Serve instantly.
