Margarita pie recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzel sticks
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 13 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • zest of 1 lime
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons gold tequila
  • 2 tablespoons triple sec
  • 2 drops green food coloring
  • 8 mini pretzels to garnish
  • 4 thin lime slices to garnish

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix well pretzels, sugar and butter.
  2. Compress mixture onto a greased pie dish.
  3. Chill in refrigerator for 50 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, mix well condensed milk, lime zest, 1 cup whipped cream, lime juice, tequila, triple sec and green food coloring.
  5. Pour into pie crust and freeze for 4 1/2 hours.
  6. Garnish with remaining whipped cream, mini pretzels and lime slices.
  7. Serve immediately.
