Orange freeze recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 4 large oranges
  • 10 oz vanilla ice cream

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Cut oranges half lengthways, scrap the flesh and finely chop.
  2. Reserve the orange juice and place the orange shells in freezer until needed.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine orange flesh, orange juice and ice cream.
  4. Using a hand held beater or mixer, blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Cover with cling film and freeze overnight.
  6. Spoon mixture into frozen orange shells and freeze for another 2 1/2 hours before serving.
