Orange ice cream recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • grated zest and juice of 8 oranges
  • grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 6 1/2 oz caster sugar
  • 17 fl oz double cream
  • 4 tablespoons Grand Marnier

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Combine together orange zest, orange juice, lemon zest and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Cook until sauce thickens. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip double cream until form soft peeks.
  4. Stir into citrus syrup and add lemon juice and Grand Marnier.
  5. Transfer in a shallow dish and stir every 30 minutes for 3 1/2 hours.
  6. Allow to chill in a freezer for 24 hours before serving.
