Raspberry mousse recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 3 teaspoons powdered gelatin
  • 8 oz vanilla yogurt
  • 13 oz fromage frais
  • 4 egg whites
  • 11 oz mashed raspberries

Preparation (instructions)

  1. In a small bowl, mix hot water and gelatin and allow to set.
  2. Place gelatin bowl over a pan of simmering water.
  3. Stir gelatin until dissolved. Set aside to cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt and fromage frais.
  5. Mix yogurt mixture with gelatin.
  6. Meanwhile, beat egg whites using a whisk or hand held electric beater or mixer until form stiff peaks.
  7. Fold egg whites in gelatin mixture.
  8. Combine raspberries in the mixture and chill in refrigerator for 4-5 hours prior serving.
