Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 pt mashed strawberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons plain gelatin
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 1/2 cups milk
Preparation (instructions)
- Combine strawberries, sugar and salt in a bowl. Set aside for 1 1/2 hours.
- In a bowl, soak gelatin in water.
- Scald milk and stir in gelatin mixture. Set aside to cool.
- Press strawberries to pass through coarse sieve into milk mixture.
- Transfer into freezer container and freeze for 2 hours.
- Beat with hand held mixer until smooth and return to freezer for another 2-3 hours before serving.
