Banana custard recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 2 tablespoons custard powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 fl oz milk
  • 4 fl oz double cream
  • 2 sliced bananas

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Whisk all ingredients except for bananas in a heatproof bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Place the bowl over a saucepan filled with gentle simmering water.
  3. Stir continuously until custard thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in banana.
  5. Serve instantly.
