Ingredients (nutrition)
- 4 oz plain flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
- pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 5 1/2 tablespoons water
- 2 1/2 tablespoons shredded coconut
- sunflower oil for deep frying
- 4 bananas, cut into half lengthways
- vanilla ice cream
Preparation (instructions)
- In a mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, bicarbonate soda and salt.
- Whisk egg, water and coconut into the flour mixture to make a smooth batter.
- In a non stick frying pan, heat up oil.
- Coat bananas into batter and slowly place into hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, remove and drain onto kitchen paper towel.
- Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
