Omelette souffle recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons melted butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • powdered sugar for dusting
  • grated chocolate for dusting

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.
  2. Grease 1 qt baking dish with melted butter and dust with some sugar. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in 1/4 cup sugar until form a meringue like and stiff peaks.
  5. In another bowl, beat egg whites with remaining sugar, vanilla and salt until light and creamy.
  6. Fold in egg white mixture with egg yolk mixture together.
  7. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar and grated chocolate.
  9. Serve instantly.
