Pear & ginger crumble recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 4 sliced pears
  • 1 fl oz apple juice
  • 4 oz plain flour
  • 2 oz butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.
  2. Arrange sliced pears in an ovenproof dish.
  3. Pour in apple juice and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine together flour, butter, sugar and ground ginger
  5. Spoon flour mixture over pears and lightly press down.
  6. Add some sugar on top if desired.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 40-50 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with custard if desired.
