Ingredients (nutrition)
- 4 peeled pears
- 2 fl oz water
- 2 1/2 teaspoons melted butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoon orange juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 9 oz strawberries
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornflour with 1 tablespoon water
Preparation (instructions)
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- Arrange pears on sides of a 2 pt casserole dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk water, butter and orange juice.
- Pour mixture onto pears.
- Place in cinnamon sticks and bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Transfer pears into individual serving dessert plate, while reserving the pear juices.
- Add pear juices into a saucepan together with strawberries, lemon juice, sugar and cornflour mixture.
- Stir continuously under low heat until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and spoon over reserved pears.
- Serve instantly.
