Ingredients (nutrition)
- 2 oz short grain rice
- 1 1/4 pt skimmed milk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated nutmeg
Preparation (instructions)
- In a saucepan, add rice, milk and honey.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
- Add vanilla essence and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 425 degree F.
- In a bowl, whisk egg whites until form soft peaks.
- Fold egg whites into rice mixture.
- Transfer into an ovenproof dish and top with nutmeg.
- Bake into preheated oven for 18 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
