Ingredients (nutrition)
- 6 tablespoons pure ghee
- 3 whole cardamom pods
- 3 whole cloves
- 8 tablespoons coarse semolina
- 2 oz sultanas
- 4 1/2 oz caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon saffron threads
- 10 fl oz milk
- 10 fl oz water
Preparation (instructions)
- Melt ghee in a saucepan under medium heat.
- Add cardamom pods and cloves.
- Reduce heat to low and mix well.
- Stir in semolina and stir fry until slightly darker and add in sultanas, sugar and saffron. Mix well.
- Pour in milk and water and cook until semolina softens.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
