Treacle tart recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 1 baked shortcrust pastry shell
  • 13 1/2 oz golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons treacle
  • 5 oz almond flakes
  • 4 1/2 oz fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • grated zest of 1/2 lemon

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degree F.
  2. Place pastry shell on baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine together remaining ingredients and bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes.
  4. Serve warm with cream.
