How to Cook: Almond trout recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 oz low fat spread
  • 4 cleaned rainbow trout
  • 1 1/2 oz flaked almonds
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Melt 1 oz fat in a pan and fry fish for 10 minutes until cooked through. Set fish aside in a warm place.
  2. Melt remaining fat in the cooking liquid in the pan.
  3. Stir in almonds and cook until browned.
  4. Add parsley, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon sauce over fish and serve hot with boiled carrots, asparagus and potatoes.
