Garlic cheese oyster casserole recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 30 shucked oysters
  • salt and cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
  2. Grease casserole dish with 1 tablespoon butter and set aside.
  3. Melt remaining butter in frying pan.
  4. Stir fry breadcrumbs in butter until slightly brown.
  5. Remove from heat and add garlic powder and toss.
  6. Take 1/4 cup breadcrumbs mixture and place on the greased casserole dish.
  7. Place oyster in the dish and season well with salt and cayenne pepper.
  8. Sprinkle parsley, cheese and remaining breadcrumbs.
  9. Pour in wine and bake in oven for 14-16 minutes.
  10. Spoon melted butter on top and serve hot.
