Ingredients (nutrition)
- vegetable oil for greasing
- 4 fl oz cold water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons powdered gelatine
- 8 fl oz boiling water
- 1 lb whipped low fat cottage cheese
- 2 1/4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 oz tuna flakes
- 3 oz finely chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons chopped red pepper
- 9 oz toasted almonds flakes
Preparation (instructions)
- Lightly grease fish mold with vegetable oil and set aside.
- In a bowl, add cold water and gelatine. Allow to set for 1 minute before adding boiling water.
- Stir until gelantine dissolves.
- Blend cheese with gelatine using a hand held mixer until form a smooth and creamy paste.
- Stir in lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, tuna flakes, onions, red pepper and half amount of almond flakes.
- Pour mixture in the fish mould, chill in refrigerator until firm.
- Garnish with remaining almond flakes before serving.
