Ingredients (nutrition)
- 4 fl oz sunflower oil
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 13 oz chopped tomatoes
- 2 seeded and finely chopped green chilies
- 1 seeded and finely chopped fresh red chili
- 1 3/4 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Preparation (instructions)
- Heat oil in a frying pan under low heat and sweat onions until lightly browned.
- Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 18 minutes with regular stirring.
- When the cooking liquid almost evaporates, remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Serve with pitta breads.
