Creamed tomato sauce recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 6 tomatoes
  • 6 fl oz water
  • 4 fl oz double cream
  • 2 fl oz plain yogurt
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Scald tomatoes in a boiling water for 28 seconds.
  2. Peel and finely chop the tomato flesh.
  3. Transfer tomato in a saucepan and add in water.
  4. Cover and simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in cream, yogurt and season well with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve warm.
