Homemade Mayonnaise recipe

Ingredients (nutrition)

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon dry English mustard powder
  • pinch of salt
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 10 fl oz groundnut oil
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar

Preparation (instructions)

  1. Add egg yolks, mustard powder, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl and whisk gradually using a hand held electric whisk.
  2. Add oil one at a time and continue to whisk until well blend and add in vinegar.
  3. Whisk until smooth and creamy and store in a screw top jar in the refrigerator.
