Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1 lb peeled and grated sweet potatoes
- grated zest of 1 orange
- 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1/2 lb cooked ham, cut into bite size pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Preparation (instructions)
- Spread 1/2 the amount of sweet potatoes at the bottom of a casserole dish, followed by 1/2 the amount of orange zest, 1/2 the amount of nutmeg and pepper.
- Layer ham on top, followed by mustard, remaining sweet potatoes, pepper, remaining nutmeg and milk.
- Cover lightly with aluminum foil and bake in oven at 375 degree F for 38 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle sesame seeds and bake for a further 18 minutes.
- Serve hot.
