Ingredients (nutrition)
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
- 1 cup whole milk
- 5 oz evaporated milk
- 4 lightly beaten eggs
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry pie crust shell
- whipped cream for topping
Preparation (instructions)
- Preheat oven to 400 degree F.
- In a bowl, mix well brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt.
- Stir in pumpkin, whole milk, evaporated milk and eggs.
- Pour mixture into pie shell and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 350 degree F and bake for a further 45 minutes.
- Allow to cool and top with whipped cream prior serving.
